Terms
The rules of playing Observed.
Observed is offered by its founder. Contact: observedsol@gmail.com or @Observed_sol on X.
What Observed is
A daily number game for the Solana Seeker. One Seeker, one card a day: each round a Seeker Genesis Token can seal one number. From 12:00 Berlin time every card can be opened on Solana; once every card is opened, the lowest number that exactly one device chose takes that round’s pot, paid in SKR.
There is no stake. Sealing costs a network fee and a deposit for the card’s account; the deposit comes back to the wallet that sealed it after the round. The one-time player record (about 0.0009 SOL) does not come back.
Who can play
- You need a Solana Seeker with its Genesis Token, held in the wallet you seal with. The program checks this at every seal.
- One card per Genesis Token and round. Several Seekers give several cards; the program cannot tell who holds them.
- You are responsible for using Observed only where that is allowed for you.
The rules of a round
- Sealing is open until 00:00 Berlin time. A card sealed after that is refused by the program.
- Each round’s rules — times, the range of numbers, the pot’s budget, the claim window — are public in the round on Solana before the first card is sealed, and fixed after.
- If no number was chosen by exactly one device, or too few cards opened, nobody takes the pot and it rolls to the next round.
- The winner takes the pot in the app within the claim window (7 days in the current plan). A pot not taken in time rolls on.
What the program decides is the result. Where these terms and the program differ, the program’s behaviour on Solana is what happened.
What we can and cannot do
- We can pause new seals. A pause never stops opening, settling, taking a pot or the return of deposits.
- We cannot change a round once it has been created, and nothing stops a round that has begun — except the emergency exit when drand never signs (below).
- The program can be upgraded by one key the founder holds, until after 11 November 2026.
That is the largest trust you place in us; it is described in
SECURITY.mdin the source. - We run a service that sends the opening and settling steps. If it stops, anyone can send them — the opening signature too, an hour at most after it appears — but nobody is obliged to. We do not promise that every round runs.
Your wallet, your keys
You sign every transaction in your own wallet. We never hold your keys and cannot undo a transaction. Network fees go to the Solana network, not to us.
Things outside our control
- Solana, the drand network that keeps cards sealed until the opening, your wallet app, and Solana Mobile, which controls the Genesis Token.
- If drand stops, a round cannot open, and nobody takes its pot. Seven days later the round can be closed without a winner; the pot stays in the vault.
- Observed is provided as it is, during a beta. We are not liable for losses of network fees, of a deposit through a fault outside the program, or of a round that did not run, as far as the law allows.
Sponsors
A sponsor can add to a round’s pot. What is paid in and out is public on Solana. A sponsor’s name in the app says who paid; it is not our endorsement of them.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date below shows the current version; a round already created keeps its rules.
Version of 5 October 2026.
